The sun has sets in along with the prayer gets louder, but the crowd remain in silence. It was one of the magical night for me, people in peace, calmly watching the ceremony waiting for enlightment.

After a long march from Mendut Temple, they continued their procession on Borobudur’s yard. Group of people divided into some categories, I think it depends on religious levels or age. They pray and pray until the sun goes down.

We are the crowds, the photographers, the observers, the audience, the happy couples, the luckiest pack ever!

I’m going to dedicate this post to my great mahamurah trippers friends. They will always adds one level or more to the awesomeness of my roadtrips. Just to make it clear that i’m not in my narsistics mode, but like in my older post about lucky trip in Magelang, this Vesak Day trip is covered by series of fortunate events. Just look at Our big smiley faces, didn’t it tells you everything?

Around 3 o’clock in the rainy afternoon, the groups of monk over the country walks together to Borobudur Temple, with their followers with smiles and peacefulness aura. They brought an eternal flame for the next events of the day. This event is one the series of Vesak Day celebration.

This is what I called ‘A series of fortunate events’, last weekend my friends and I went to Magelang and stayed overnight at Oom Kangkung (our nickname for generous man lived near Taruna Nusantara Highschool).

Our funny and lucky story has began since the early afternoon when Ipil picked me up at dorm, then we exchange car with our friends, to a bigger car, we soaked up in heavy rain but we laughed at it. The first fortunate events was the gas was half full, so we don’t have to stop at the gas station. Then we continued our trip and arrived safely at Artos. There we met some friends from Military Academy and have a little reunion. One of them give us a play card at timezone with a big sum of credits in it.

So we play around crazily, get the tickets as much as we could. The second fortunate events was when we tried to get 500 tickets bonus, but we failed, we check into the machine and voila, there was 500 tickets in it! we’re so lucky and happiness surrounds us. Before we went to Oom Kangkung’s house, we stoped by hypermart then buy some fruit. Guess what, it almost closed but we made it, then we ready to pay 2 kg of Mangoes (harum manis) with only 8K rupiah! We kept in silence believe that their wrong doings, but that’s our 3rd fortunate events.

Next day in the morning, before we prepared to Vesak Day at Mendut, we went to another new hypermart in town and voila, we found very cheap healthy quacker oat cookies (raisin, apple cinnamon and honey) for only 2.6K, and another discount product from Elle & Vire Yoghurt, Towel and Tissue. That’s all we need and made it to our 4th fortunates events.

Until the weekend is over we hit by the bunch of another fortunate events at Vesak Day, I can’t explain it here for more (maybe later), cause it’s gonna be a long reads. Happy weekdays for you all hope it’ll happens to you as well!

Paris Bakery is my favorite place recently to gather around with my friend, either writing some assignment, brainstorming, having a birthday party, or just relaxing some nerves and enjoy the bread and pastry. Located just 5 minutes away from Gadjah Mada University, makes this place perfect to spend the day with friends.

They pampered you with comfy and artsy architecture and fits you to the Parisian atmosphere. Tantalizing taste of mousse 3 chocolats, éclairs, opera, the pizza and more is one thing that makes me coming back for more, beside the Paris atmospher of course, and their staff will welcome you with great hospitality. And the most important things why I love this bakery is they always have some ways to surprise me and my friends when we come around. It just all in my opinion, if you want to value them, just come around, next to Peacock coffee and Tentrem Hotel.
